Can't cover everything up!

This past weekend included some spring clean up chores, including putting new mulch down in the flower gardens.

As I was going to get the second load of mulch, Derinda was pulling weeds and getting things ready.  I made a "half joking" comment that she didn't need to pull the weeds, we would just cover them up with the mulch.  In her way, she said, it will just make it harder to clean up later.  Her answer is the basis for this week's entry.

How many times in life do we make our tomorrow's more difficult but trying to make our today's easier?  For example:

1.  Every issue in your life has an origin.  The sooner you get to the bottom of the problem (pull the weeds) the easier it is to move on.

2.  We can talk the talk, wear the clothes, and try to fool others (put mulch down over the weeds), but until we actually do the work and prepare ourselves for success, no matter how hard you try, you can not fool yourself.

Some of you are probably rolling your eyes and saying how long a stretch this week's entry is.  Really?  Everyday, people are working hard to convince others that they are "putting in the work" to be successful. Everyday they do that, is a day closer to being figured out.

This week, spend some time in a serious conversation with yourself and do an honest self assessment about how you need to step up and "pull the weeds" in your life and get serious about your future.  Work hard today and enjoy some easier tomorrows.

See you latter, have a great week.
